Oyster Fest @ Stewart's Brewing Co. (Bear, DE)

OK, this is not quite South Jersey, but it's right across the Delaware Memorial Bridge, and Stewart's Brewing Co. has one of the best micro-brew selections in the Delaware Valley and beyond. Here's what Shawn wrote in his e-mail update:

First up, this weekend, January 22 & 23, we're having an OysterFest! We're getting in six different kinds of fresh oysters to eat raw or steamed: Beavertails, Blue Points, Great Jerseys, Gold Bands, Dlaware Bays and Canada Cups. Additionally, our kitchen is preparing a variety of cooked oyster dishes, including oyster stew, oysters rockefeller, oysters creole and oysters crab au gratin. Ric is insisting on oyster shooters, as well, so brace yourselves. Come on in and slurp with us!

Also, they have their most awesome beer on tap:

Stumblin' Monk- Our award winning Belgian-style golden ale is fruity and complex, and deceptively strong at 9.0% ABV. Come see what the fuss is all about!

Check it out. Here is a review of Stewart's from The Ferment Nation [click here].
